Earth Hour 2010

From New York to Rio de Janeiro, from Paris to Johannesburg and from Beijing to Sydney, on Earth Hour millions of people around the globe will come together to call for action on climate change by simply turning their lights off for 1h.

By joining efforts and all together turning off our lights for Earth Hour, It can make a huge impact and show how each individual contribution matters to the world.

So from 8.30 to 9.30pm on Saturday 27 March, switch off your lights!

Earth Hour started in Sydney in 2007 with about 2.2 million people and 2,100 businesses involved.

2 years later, in 2009, it is estimated that over 100 million people, in over 4000 cities across 88 countries took part in Earth Hour. This ambitious initiative that started here in Australia became a truly global event. Did you take part in Earth Hour last year?

Make sure to switch off your lights on Earth Hour this year! 
And always try to make every hour Earth Hour!
